Quilt Basting Tips
- Starch the backing for more “slideability” on the machine bed when machine quilting (via Diane Gaudynski)
- If you forget to starch, all is not lost! Get a Supreme Slider.
- Don’t over-stretch the backing when laying it out to baste the quilt (I tend to do this a lot!). It should be smooth and held in position at the edges, but not stretched.
- Use Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream on your hands to have a better grip on the quilt
