Make a Great Impression

A hera marker makes an impression in the fabric—a mark that is usually easy to see when machine quilting, but leaves no ink or chalk on the fabrics that might be difficult to remove. Straight lines or gentle curves are good candidates for marking with a hera marker; hold the marker against the edge of a ruler or stiff template and rub back and forth on the fabric. The marks will show up best when marked on fabric layered with batting underneath and on fabrics that are solid or almost solid. Clover manufactures a great hera marker that won’t bend when you use it and makes a great impression in the fabric.
