Needle Nanny

Needle Nanny

What do you do with a sewing machine needle when it’s slightly used, but not ready to be thrown away? How do you keep it separate from the new needles and other used needles that are different sizes? Grab a tomato pincushion (the cheapo kind will do fine), and use a permanent marker to write the needle sizes on the top, one number in each section. Store the pincushion by your sewing machine so you’ll always have a needle on hand, and you won’t need to get out the magnifier to see what size it is!
