This stuff is truly ingenious! And I’m sure I’m really behind here, but my only excuse for not discovering Glue-Baste-It sooner is that I usually go to great lengths to avoid hand-appliqué, so it didn’t exactly pop out at me at the store. Now that I’m “in it” with a quilt that has to be appliqué, I’ve finally gotten to it. The manufacturer’s website says: This incredible appliqué glue is 100% water soluble, dries in minutes, but holds firmly until you want it loose. They’re not lying. And I love the little syringe applicator. My only thought is that eventually, you’d want a replacement syringe, and there doesn’t seem to be an option to get one from the manufacturer on their site. I think that at some point, the glue will clog the syringe, no matter how careful you are about getting the glue out per their instructions. We will see. For now, I’m a happy camper, and this is one of my new Favorite Things!

Okay, maybe I need to get out more, but I just discovered this recently and had to share. Electric Quilt Software’s website has a new palette every month that you can download and use in your EQ program, for free! I love it! The folks at Electric Quilt make it very easy, with complete instructions for downloading and unpacking the file to the right place on your computer. Get it every month and have ore fabric, more fabric, more fabric!
