Infinite Feathers,
by Anita Shackelford
If you’re interested in feather quilting, you won’t want to miss this one! Anita Shackelford takes you on a feather odyssey in Infinite Feathers: Quilt Designs, and introduces you to her indispensable companion tool, the Infinite Feathers Quilting Design Template. Feather quilting seems to be the hallmark of really intricate and detailed heirloom quilts, and it can be rather intimidating to consider quilting feathers whether by hand or machine, not to mention drawing your own feather designs. Anita makes it an easy, step-by-step
process with her detailed instructions and creative ideas for using the Feather Template to draw your own designs to fit any space on your quilt. There are also lots of ready to use designs included in the back of the book. I’ve used Anita’s designs, methods and template on three of my large quilts, FeatherGlow, Material Marquetry and Stars In My Hand, as well as other smaller projects.

After a 13+ hour marathon troubleshooting session yesterday, I’m happy to report that the comments feature for the weblog is fully functional now! Again, many apologies if you’ve ever tried to comment and couldn’t. A few tips:
- You must be registered and logged in to post comments. Registration is no big deal, you just have to enter your e-mail address, pick a username, and your password is immediately e-mailed to you.
- When you login the first time after you register, you are taken to a page that looks nothing like the weblog! Don’t panic, just look for a link that says “View site” and click it. Then you’re free to comment on whatever you like.
- If you ever need to change your info, like your e-mail address, you can click on “Site Admin” in the sidebar and you’ll be taken to a page that looks nothing like the weblog, but you are still here, and you can change your information at will.
And now for the privacy stuff: even though you must enter your e-mail, it is stored in a secure location, and will only be used to send you mail for admin purposes (when you get your first one with your password, if you forget the password, or change it) and will never be shared with a third party.
If you ever have problems logging in, or questions about anything pertaining to membership on this weblog, feel free to contact me.
